Ms. Harvey moved to the Big Island in January 2016, from Syracuse, NY. Along with her thriving private practice in Syracuse, she was also a lead instructor at Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage for almost 10yrs, and a NASM Certified Personal Trainer. A varied work history in the medical field afforded Melissa the knowledge to pursue the more specific, medical massage career. Focusing her continuing education on Orthopedic Massage, Gross Anatomy, and Treatment Techniques, Melissa designed the MyoPro Principle. She owns MUSCLE efx, in Kailua Kona, HI. She specializes in Orthopedic/Medical Massage. Working primarily with injury rehab, but also postural deviation correction, and enhancing the athletic performance of her patients by utilizing the MyoPro Principle.
The MyoPro Principle is a unique fusion of the modalities she has accumulated through her extensive CE career. Each course offered at the MyoPro Institute is designed to include aspects of every CE class she has taken. The courses are heavy on anatomy & myology, the basis of true Medical Massage. You will learn the theory behind each modality, not just a routine. The 14 class seminar series will give you the tools you need to implement the MyoPro Principle, into your own massage style.
